Job summary

Smile Doctors is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team and deliver a positive clinical experience under orthodontist supervision.

You will assist with appliances, review charts, and participate in remote monitoring workflows while educating patients and maintaining strict infection control standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Dental Assistant certification may be required by state Board.
  • Radiography certification may be required by state Board.
  • CPR certification may be required by state Board.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
  • Review patient charts, log patient data, and transcribe doctor notes.
  • Perform laboratory procedures under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
  • Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient scans and messages.
  • Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
  • Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory per protocols.
  • Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.

Responsible for delivering positive clinical experience to all patients while following strict adherence to company policies as well as state dental laws, rules and regulations under the direction and close supervision of an Orthodontist.

How You’ll Make Us Better
  • Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the Orthodontist
  • Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data and transcribe doctor notes
  • Perform laboratory procedures under close supervision of the Orthodontist
  • Review remote monitoring dashboard including review/triage patient scans, responding to direct patient messages, and triage notifications
  • Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring
  • Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment and operatory following standard protocols
  • Adhere to all infection-control policies and protocols
