Job summary

Smile Doctors in Austin, TX is seeking an Orthodontic Clinician to support orthodontic treatment under the direct supervision of an orthodontist. You will assist with appliances, review patient data, perform lab tasks, and manage remote monitoring communications.

You will educate patients, maintain strict infection-control standards, and ensure operatory readiness through sterilization and prep. Certification prerequisites include dental assisting credentials, radiography, and CPR per state

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant certification preferred or required by state board.
• Radiography certification required or as per state board.
• CPR certification as required by state board.

Responsibilities

• Assist with placing/removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision.
• Review patient charts and transcribe doctor notes accurately.
• Perform laboratory procedures under supervision of the orthodontist.
• Monitor remote-monitoring dashboard by triaging patient scans and messages.
• Educate patients about orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize and prepare equipment and operatories per protocol.
• Follow infection-control policies and procedures.
