Job summary

Children S Dental Funzone is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant or RDA with ortho experience for a part-time position in a pediatric dental practice. Responsibilities include sterilizing instruments, assisting with procedures, lab work, and maintaining patient records. Must love working with children and have an OA/RDA license.

Dentrix Ascend experience is preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must love working with children.
• OA/RDA license by Dental Board.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, medications, and instruments used during dental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize instruments and set up trays to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor, etc.).
• Pour models and conduct other lab procedures.
• Perform charting activities and document exam findings in patient records.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked operatory and laboratory.
• Collaborate with staff dentists to develop and implement preventive dental activities for the community.

Job Duties

• Perform the following tasks to ensure efficiency: clean, sterilize instruments and set up trays.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor, etc.)
• Effectively pour models and conduct other lab procedures.
• Perform charting activities and document exam findings in the patient records.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked operatory and laboratory.
• Work in conjunction with Staff Dentists/Dental team to develop and implement preventive dental activities for the community
