Job summary

Children’s Dental FunZone is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant or RDA with ortho experience for a part-time role in a pediatric dental practice. You will perform sterilization, lab procedures, charting, and support the team in preventive care, in a child-centered environment.

Ideal candidates love working with children, hold an OA/RDA license, and bring a positive, upbeat attitude. Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend and dental terminology is a plus. Growth opportunities exist within the practice.

Qualifications

• Must love working with children.
• OA/RDA License by Dental Board.
• An upbeat personality is a MUST.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, materials, medications, and instruments used during dental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize instruments and set up trays.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor, etc.).
• Pour models and conduct other lab procedures.
• Charting activities and document exam findings in patient records.
• Maintain clean, orderly operatory and laboratory.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop preventive dental activities for the community.

Job Duties

• Perform the following tasks to ensure efficiency: clean, sterilize instruments and set up trays.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor, etc.)
• Effectively pour models and conduct other lab procedures.
• Perform charting activities and document exam findings in the patient records.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked operatory and laboratory.
• Work in conjunction with Staff Dentists/Dental team to develop and implement preventive dental activities for the community
