Job summary

Children's Dental FunZone is seeking an amazing Orthodontic Assistant or RDA with Ortho experience to join our pediatric dental practice on a part-time basis. You will assist with clinical tasks, maintain instruments, and support the team in a friendly, child-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Must love working with children.
• OA/RDA license validated by dental board.
• High energy with ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric dental office.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize instruments and set up trays.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor).
• Pour models and conduct other lab procedures.
• Chart exam findings in patient records and ensure operatory is well stocked.
• Collaborate with the dental team to support preventive activities in the community.

Job Duties

• Perform the following tasks to ensure efficiency: clean, sterilize instruments and set up trays.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor, etc.)
• Effectively pour models and conduct other lab procedures.
• Perform charting activities and document exam findings in the patient records.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked operatory and laboratory.
• Work in conjunction with Staff Dentists/Dental team to develop and implement preventive dental activities for the community

Desired Profile/Background:

• MUST LOVE WORKING WITH CHILDREN.
• OA/RDA License by Dental Board
• An upbeat personality is a MUST.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend
• Familiarity with dental terminology, materials, medications, and instruments used during dental procedures.
