Job summary

Medica City Arlington is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager for the Ortho Trauma unit to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care during day shifts with rotating weekends. The role collaborates with the management team to direct nursing care, monitor outcomes, and support staff development.

The RN Manager will lead staffing, scheduling, and performance development while advancing patient safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• RN with current license required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing must be completed within 1 year of start date.
• 2+ years as Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse preferred.
• 1+ year in Ortho Trauma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and quality.
• Collaborate with management to monitor and improve quality of care.
• Lead with staff to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support patient-first philosophy and service recovery as needed.
• Oversee nursing strategies, including hourly rounds and staff engagement initiatives.
• Guide interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Maintain inventory and supplies in the unit.
