Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Ortho unit. This role provides high-quality care to adults and geriatrics recovering from orthopedic procedures, trauma, and medical-surgical conditions.

You will collaborate with physicians, rehab teams, and interdisciplinary staff to promote mobility, pain control, and safe discharge planning. The RN will assess, treat, document, and educate patients and families, emphasizing safety, compassionate care, and adherence to

Qualifikationen

• Licensed RN with ADN or BSN.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred; ortho/medical-surgical nursing preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assess patients on admission and during shifts, report changes promptly.
• Provide nursing care for orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.
• Perform treatments, document in medical records, and administer medications.
• Monitor neurovascular status and surgical sites; support mobility goals.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians and case management for discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, pain management, safety and post-discharge care.
