Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Orthopaedic Trauma to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate nursing functions during the day shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors and evaluates nursing care in line with policies and procedures to support outcomes and experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure must be active.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing to be completed within 1 year of employment start date.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in acute care setting, preferably Ortho-Trauma.
• Minimum 2+ years in a Charge Nurse or Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high-quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provides input on interviewing, selection, and training of new staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manages staff scheduling and labor in line with patient needs and productivity guidelines.
• Assists with inventory control and equipment/supplies management.
