Job summary

Ascension Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated patient care technician to support the Ortho Trauma department. You will help move and position patients, assist with activities of daily living, and document changes for nursing staff.

Cleanliness and equipment maintenance are essential daily tasks. The role requires BLS certification within 1 month of hire, plus a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff and document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
