Job summary

Union Hospital Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Patient Care Technician for ONU Ortho/ Neuro/ URO 3EA on the 3EA surgical unit. You will collaborate with RN staff to assess patient needs, assist in care plans, provide education, respond to emergencies, and advocate for patient rights.

Qualifications include Indiana CNA license or willingness to complete the Union Health PCT Training, and BLS certification upon hire. This full-time day role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana CNA license or willingness to complete Union Health PCT Training upon hire.
• Must be certified in healthcare provider BLS upon hire.
• Basic medical knowledge and patient care procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RN staff to assess patients' needs and report concerns.
• Assist in developing and modifying care plans, prioritize patient problems, and perform medical tasks.
• Provide patient education, follow policies, respond to emergencies, and act as a patient advocate while respecting rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluate interventions, maintain professionalism, and seek assistance when needed.
