Job summary

MercyOne is seeking an Acute Care RN for a full-time, 12-hour day shift in a general medical-surgical setting. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring where needed, medication safety, and comprehensive discharge planning. Strong communication and evidence-based practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• Acute medical/surgical unit experience preferred.
• Strong communication and safety focus.
• Ability to coordinate care across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments within 30 minutes of arrival.
• Develop and implement goal-based care plans.
• Coordinate care with team and discharge planning.
• Evaluate progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Communicate with physicians and care team clearly.
• Ensure medication safety and accurate documentation.
• Monitor telemetry/cardiac status as applicable.
