Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory orthopedic team. This permanent role is day-shift on a 5x8 schedule with no nights, no call, no weekends, and no holidays, offering a supportive environment and lunch provided daily.

The CST will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and RNs to ensure surgeries run smoothly, with emphasis on instrument handling, sterile technique, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in orthopedics is required
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist is needed
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures
• Excellent knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, sterilization and maintenance
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and equipment for procedures
• Support the surgical team during procedures
• Set up sterile tables with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications
• Assist with patient care before and after procedures under RN supervision
• Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team during surgery
• Ensure specimens are properly handled and processed
• Maintain high standards of medical conduct and patient safety
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety guidelines
• Participate in analysis of surgical procedures for patient safety and interventions
