Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of CAHEA-accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a surgical technologist preferred.
• Proficiency in English language.

Responsibilities

• Follow aseptic techniques while performing scrub duties.
• Carry out scrub duties in service areas as assigned.
• Assist with patient care tasks within scope of practice.
• Access medication/supply room to retrieve items.
• Transport and escort patients as needed.
• Maintain readiness of instruments and supplies for operative cases.
• Support patient and family relations and confidentiality.
• Adapt care to age-specific needs of patients.
• Participate in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
