Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health seeks a Surgical Technologist (scrub tech) for the Short Stay Surgery team at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification required.
• Approximately 1 year of surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Proficiency in reading/writing English and following sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Follow aseptic technique and assist surgical team.
• Assist with gowning/gloving and OR setup/prep for procedures.
• Support instrument handling, counting, and specimen management.
• Participate in Time Out verification and patient safety checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and supplies.
• Protect patient confidentiality and respect cultural needs.
