Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years.
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as a RN or active multi-state RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments to collect basic data and follows plans of care.
• Organizes, prioritizes and delivers patient care per Inova models to achieve outcomes.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately and seeks help to improve documentation.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Completes learning sessions for RN fellowship and demonstrates new skills.
• May serve as a preceptor after orientation and competency completion.
