Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT4 Orthopaedics/Urology Surgical Unit. The 41-bed unit collaborates with PT/OT, supports rapid patient turnover, and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus for external applicants with a 1- to 2-year commitment. You’ll provide direct patient care in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities include medication administration, IV piggybacks, and coordinating with RN staff to complete care plans and discharge instructions. LPN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• LPN required and licensed in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications, hangs IV piggybacks and fluids, excluding IV Push meds.
• Charts assessments on assigned patients after the RN completed initial assessment.
• Charts on care plans, with RN opening new care plans as needed.
• Communicates with physicians/APPs to receive orders and coordinate care for dressing changes.
