Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will support the surgical crew by preparing the OR, gathering supplies, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting with gowning, gloving, and instrument handling, ensuring equipment is ready, and coordinating with surgeons. The role also involves training newer technologists and contributing to department projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School includes an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant position.

Responsibilities

• Participates in prep steps of surgery; assists team with gathering supplies and preparing operating room.
• Ensures required supplies are available and maintains a sterile field.
• Assists in gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument handling for procedures.
• Maintains environmental disinfection and safe, efficient OR setup and teardown.
• Trains Surgical Technologists and new Surgical Assistants; supports department projects.
