Job summary

Pain Physicians of Wisconsin is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in the ambulatory surgery center. The role emphasizes sterile technique, site preparation, instrument handling and team collaboration.

The successful candidate will assist with operating room setup, gowning, gloving, patient prep, and maintaining sterile fields, while supporting aseptic standards and universal protocol. BLS certification within three months is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• At least 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership, organization, and teamwork in the OR.

Responsibilities

• Dons OR attire and PPE and maintains sterile field.
• Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Sets up sterile tables and stands with instruments and medications.
• Assists team with gowning, gloving, and patient skin prep.
• Maintains aseptic technique and universal protocol compliance.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments during procedures.
• Prepares dressings and assists in terminal sterilization and room turnover.
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
