Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced graduate RN for NT4 with a 41-bed unit and a focus on total joint and trauma care. The role includes comprehensive patient assessment, planning and coordination with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The RN must have BLS within 30 days, hold an active RN license, and possess a nursing diploma or associate degree with at least 1 year of experience in similar settings.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• RN license required (Illinois or applicable state).
• Nursing diploma or associates degree; relevant work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform all unit-specific nursing duties per patient care scope.
• Document nursing care accurately to support healthcare team.
• Complete initial patient assessment and develop care plans.
• Implement and monitor care plans and interventions.
• Ensure patient safety and report hazards or incidents.
• Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care and meds.
• Coordinate with physicians and surgeons for ortho/medical patients.
