Job summary

Carle Health is hiring an RN for the NT4 unit in a 41-bed setting. The role includes performing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and coordinating with physicians for ortho and related surgeries. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants with >1 year of experience and a 3-year commitment.

The unit handles total joint replacements and complex trauma, with opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or higher.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops a care plan.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Ensures patient and staff safety; reports hazards and incidents.
• Educates patients on wound care, mobility, self-care and discharge needs.
• Coordinates with physicians and surgeons on patient care.
