Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for NT4 with a 41-bed unit and a focus on joint replacements and trauma care. The role requires BLS within 30 days, an RN license, and a nursing diploma or associate degree.

You will document care, assess patients on admission, and implement plans of care in collaboration with physicians. The unit supports hip/knee/shoulder replacements and complex trauma, with opportunities to advance within a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• RN license (Illinois) required
• BLS within 30 days of hire required
• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree required

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops an appropriate plan of care.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Monitors safety and reports hazards or incidents and communicates with the team.
• Educates patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, and medication management.
• Coordinate with physicians and surgeons on ortho and medical/surgical patients.
