Job summary

Carle Health’s North Tower 4 unit seeks a Registered Nurse to support orthopedic, trauma and surgical patients on a 41-bed unit. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, completes assessments, and collaborates with physicians to implement care plans.

Requirements include active RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience. A sign-on bonus is available for external applicants with 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with applicable state licensure.
• Education: Nursing Diploma; Associate Degree. Work Experience: RN >1yr.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties of the unit as defined; follows care plans and documentation.
• Completes initial assessment and develops a plan of care.
• Educates patients and families on wound care, mobility and self-care.
• Coordinates with physicians and RCT staff; ensures safety and quality.
