Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for North Tower 4 (NT4) with a 41-bed unit and a focus on total joint replacements, urology, and orthopedic trauma. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external applicants with >1 year commitment.

The role requires BLS and an Illinois RN license, with a nursing diploma or an associate degree. Responsibilities include admission assessments, care planning, wound care education, and coordination with physicians.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in appropriate state.
• Nursing diploma or an associate degree; RN with >1 year experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care to inform the healthcare team.
• Completes initial patient assessment on admission and develops a care plan.
• Educates ortho and medical/surgical patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, meds, and transition needs.
• Coordinates with physicians and surgeons on patient care.
