Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring an RN for the Surgical Unit-I at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. The role covers night shifts with a full-time schedule, focusing on Ortho/Neuro/Spine patient care and strong teamwork.

The RN will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians, while maintaining accurate EMR documentation and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active NJ Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS and ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient safety.
