Job summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant position at Elliot Health System’s Milford Outpatient Rehab Department, located inside Hampshire Hills Athletic Club, is a 32-hour-per-week role with days and two evenings until 7pm; schedule is otherwise flexible.

Candidates must have a PTA credential, NH license, CPR certification, and 3+ years in outpatient orthopedics; you support the PT, document care, and assist with discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate Degree.
• NH PTA license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of outpatient orthopedics experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows the Plan of Care to provide skilled PTA services.
• Reviews goals and updates treatment plan with the PT.
• Assesses patient status and communicates with the care team.
• Performs treatments within scope of practice.
• Instructs patients and families on home programs and equipment.
• Collaborates with aides to implement the Plan of Care.
• Assists in discharge planning.
• Documents assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries; submits charges.
