Job summary

The Elliot Health System is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for the Milford Outpatient Rehab Department located inside Hampshire Hills Athletic Club. This 32-hour-per-week position requires days with two nights until 7pm; schedule is otherwise flexible.

The PTA will implement treatment programs under the PT, participate in team care, and document progress. Requires 3+ years in outpatient orthopedics, an associate degree, NH PTA license, CPR certification, and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• NH Physical Therapy Governing Board license required.
• CPR certification required.
• 3+ years' experience in outpatient orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Follow the physical therapy Plan of Care in providing skilled services to referred patients.
• Review goals and update the treatment plan with the PT as applicable.
• Assess patient progress and communicate status to the PT and referrer.
• Perform treatments within scope to promote functional outcomes and patient goals.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and equipment use.
• Collaborate with aides and other staff on Plan of Care revisions.
• Assist in establishing and implementing discharge plans.
• Document assessments, treatments, progress notes, home programs, and discharge summaries; submit charges.
