Job summary

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under supervision of an RN or LPN. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe care environment, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include collecting and recording vital signs, supporting meals and hygiene, assisting with mobility, and performing routine tasks such as glucose monitoring and specimen

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant or CPCT - Certified Patient Care Technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
• Records patient data including vitals and intake/output, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Aids with meals, bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Positions and repositions patients, assists with ambulation and mobility aids.
• Collects specimens and performs glucose monitoring, documents results.
