Job summary

Centurion Surgery Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team. The Technician supports surgeons, RNs, and staff by preparing ORs, maintaining a sterile field, and ensuring instruments and equipment are ready for procedures in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and pain management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with CST credential and BLS.
• Orthopedic, spine, pain management, or interventional procedure experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons and RNs during orthopedic, neurosurgical, and pain management procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts per hospital policy.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment.
• Care for instruments post-procedure; ensure cleanliness and sterility.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical techniques and safety standards in ortho, neuro, and pain specialties.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and technicians for smooth workflow.
• Support inventory, restocking, and quality assurance processes.
• Uphold infection control and safety policies at all times.
