Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to manage instruments and equipment during surgical procedures and to support patient safety and quality of care.

The role may involve work across multiple service lines and with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and have completed an accredited surgical technology program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Color acuity screening as required by unit.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program; experience as Surgical Technologist preferred or required per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Provide technical assistance and support to medical/surgical staff during and after procedures.
• Work across multiple surgical service lines and with diverse patient populations.
