Job summary

Northwell Health's Norwalk Hospital is seeking a Nursing Attendant to support patient care activities under licensed supervision. You will perform basic nursing tasks, assist with daily living activities, and help ensure patient safety and comfort on the Ortho/Neuro unit.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and preferably an active CNA. BLS/CPR is required within 90 days of start or after orientation completion. This is a full-time, on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active CNA certification is preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of start date or orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical care to assigned patients and perform basic skills such as point-of-care testing.
• Implement nursing orders promptly with understanding of their purpose.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety, assist with positioning and daily living activities.
• Enter data into the computer system as applicable.
• Communicate patient information and observations to the nurse in charge.
