Northwell Health's Norwalk Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care on the General Surgical unit. You will assist with daily activities, document care, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment for patients and families.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA certification is preferred, and BLS/CPR within 90 days. The role offers teamwork-driven, community-focused care within a major health system.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active CNA certification is preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of start date.

Mansioni

• Provides physical care to assigned patients and performs technical skills such as point of care testing.
• Implements nursing orders promptly with understanding of their purpose.
• Maintains patient safety through preventative measures and responsive care.
• Enters data into the computer system and communicates observations to the team.
• Provides age-appropriate care and reports changes to the nurse in charge.
• Attends staff meetings and maintains competency for BLS certification.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
