Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; zero to six months’ job-related experience preferred.
• Active CNA certification preferred. BLS/CPR required within 90 days of start date or orientation completion.

Responsabilités

• Provides physical care to assigned patients and performs basic technical skills as directed.
• Implements nursing orders promptly and understands the purpose of each directive.
• Follows policies and procedures for assigned patient care activities and equipment.
• Ensures patient comfort by positioning, bathing, linens, and personal articles within reach.
• Maintains patient safety through measures such as side rails and hourly rounding.
• Documents data into the computer system as applicable.
• Communicates patient information and observations to the nurse in charge and care team.
• Delivers age-appropriate care with knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge.
• Recognizes priorities in the patient care process and uses good judgment.
• Maintains effective working relationships with health care team, patients, and families.
• Keeps a safe, orderly work environment and well-stocked unit.
• Acts as Safety Attendant/Patient Sitter for designated patients.
• Attends staff meetings and signs meeting minutes.
• Maintains Basic Life Support competency.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
