Job summary

Duly Health and Care is hiring a Medical Assistant for Orthopedics in Westmont/Lombard. You will join an established orthopedics team and support physicians, APPs, imaging, therapy and other clinical staff, gaining hands-on experience with musculoskeletal care.

Responsibilities include registering patients, taking vitals, assisting during exams and procedures, lab work and coordination with care teams. Local travel may be required; a $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA required.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior MA/ CMA/ CNA/ EMT OR two years of medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, taking vital signs and health history.
• Assist physicians during examinations, minor office procedures and dressing changes.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Manage prescriptions, pharmacy callbacks and provider orders; update charting.
• Conduct onsite labs: EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or health sciences courses

Active Medical Assistant certification (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA)

CPR certification

Phlebotomy certification within 90 days

Two years of MA/medical office experience
