Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Orthopaedics team in Lombard/Westmont. You will greet patients, assist with registration and vitals, and support physicians during exams and minor procedures.

The role includes on-site lab testing, charting, and occasional travel to nearby clinics; a high school diploma and MA certification are required, with competitive benefits and potential sign-on bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active MA certifications through AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA or CPR certification (or willingness to certify on hire) required.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in a medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Medical Assistant educational program or health sciences coursework

MA/CMA/CNA/EMT certification options (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA)
