Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit. The role supports acute ortho and urology patients on a high-throughput unit with a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio. Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required and BLS within 30 days.
• College diploma or equivalent with LPN licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Passes medications, hangs IV piggybacks and fluids as ordered by RN.
• Chart assessments and care plans after RN initiates the plan of care.
• Communicates with physicians/APPs for orders and coordinate dressing changes.
• Perform trach care, NG tube care and ostomy care as needed; reinforce discharge instructions.
