Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit. The role involves administering medications, managing IV therapies, and collaborating with the RN to ensure optimal patient care.

You will work in a fast-paced unit with 41 beds and a strong focus on teamwork and patient safety. The unit emphasizes throughput with a typical stay of up to three days and provides resources including educators and nurse supervisors.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required (IDFPR).
• College Diploma: Licensed Practical Nurse (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications and hang IV piggybacks and fluids under RN oversight.
• Chart assessments on assigned patients and contribute to care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and dressings as needed.
