Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team. You will perform basic patient care tasks, monitor patient needs, and collaborate with RNs and the health unit coordinator as part of the care team.

The role requires CNA certification in Montana, BLS, and computer literacy, with benefits eligible and a full-time schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week. This position is based at St Vincent Hospital in Montana.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Montana is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care tasks (toileting, bathing, linen changes, feeding assistance) and respond to patient/family requests.
• Document and report patient data in a timely manner; escalate changes promptly.
• Monitor patients and perform telemetry duties as required; collaborate with the care team.
• Transport medications to RN when on unit duty and support medication delivery.
• Support health unit coordination tasks (phones, orders, unit records) as needed.
• Follow plan of care delegated by licensed professionals and perform duties within scope.
