Job summary

Mid-State Health Center, a not-for-profit community health system in New Hampshire, seeks an Orthopedic Care Coordinator to serve as a primary liaison among providers, patients, imaging, and administrative staff.

You will coordinate orthopedic appointments, imaging, referrals, and follow-up care while providing direct clinical support within the MA/Orthopedic Technician scope, ensuring timely, safe, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of orthopedic terminology and workflows.
• Experience with medical scheduling and patient coordination is a plus.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical support within MA/Orthopedic Technician scope.
• Prepare patients for examinations by collecting vitals/history and documenting in the EHR.
• Coordinate orthopedic appointments, imaging, referrals, authorizations, and follow-up care.
• Assist with examinations/procedures (casting, splinting, injections, wound care) as trained.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure information is available for visits.
• Coordinate communication among clinicians, nurses, imaging, and external facilities.
• Respond to medical emergencies per clinic procedures.
