Job summary

The Garrett Group seeks an Operations Research/Systems Analysis SME to support USSTRATCOM with informed decision‑making. The role focuses on applying advanced analytical techniques to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve performance across complex mission challenges.

Responsibilities include data gathering, visualization, and reporting, plus helping manage assessment COIs and contributing to risk models. Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and R is expected, with Python experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in operations research methods and techniques.
• Experience conducting mission analysis (2+ years) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and gather data from operational HQ elements.
• Utilize database, analytical, and visualization tools for assessment execution.
• Conduct follow-up data collection via surveys and questionnaires.
• Generate reports and presentations to inform assessment efforts.
• Support development and management of COIs (Communities of Interest).
• Review documents and develop additional assessments to address tasking.
• Assist Command Assessment staff during Command Exercises.
• Provide analyses to support compliance with Joint Staff and OSD requirements.
