Job summary

Salas O’Brien in Orlando seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovations. You will provide technical leadership for construction drawings, specs, and master planning while building strong client and project-team relationships.

Qualified candidates bring 15+ years of design/engineering consulting, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and a Florida PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a valid Florida PE license.
• Minimum 15 years of design/engineering consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for mechanical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovations.
• Provide technical leadership for construction drawings and specifications.
• Meet with clients, project teams, code officials, and contractors to address issues.
• Direct QA/QC of detailed design documents, reports, and studies.
• Lead project teams and serve as primary client contact.
• Oversee workload and mentor junior engineers.
