Qualifications

• 3+ years of origination or power trading in US wholesale energy markets.
• Day Ahead Power trading exposure is essential.
• Strong knowledge of ISOs (e.g., ERCOT, CAISO, NYISO).
• Experience with battery storage or renewables is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the full origination lifecycle within ERCOT, from opportunity identification through deal structuring and execution.
• Build and manage relationships with asset owners, developers, and counterparties across the power markets.
• Support market entry strategy as the business expands into additional ISOs/RTOs.
• Collaborate with trading and analytics to develop and refine commercial products, including revenue optimisation and offtake structures.
• Provide market intelligence and commercial input into new product development.

Origination Manager – Battery Storage & Power Markets

A high-growth energy storage optimisation company is seeking an Origination Manager to take ownership of its commercial origination efforts in ERCOT, with a remit to support expansion into SPP, CAISO and NYISO.

This is a senior individual contributor role sitting at the center of the company's US growth strategy, working closely with trading, analytics, and product teams to shape commercial offerings and identify new revenue opportunities for battery storage and renewable assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full origination lifecycle within ERCOT, from opportunity identification through deal structuring and execution
• Build and manage relationships with asset owners, developers, and counterparties across the power markets
• Support market entry strategy and commercial groundwork as the business expands into additional ISOs/RTOs
• Collaborate with trading and analytics teams to develop and refine commercial products, including revenue optimisation and offtake structures
• Provide market intelligence and commercial input into new product development

Candidate Profile

• 3+ years of experience in origination, business development, or power trading within US wholesale energy markets
• Day Ahead Power trading exposure is essential - candidates should be comfortable with market fundamentals, price formation, and revenue stacking
• Strong working knowledge of ISO's
• Experience with battery storage, renewables, or demand response commercially preferred
