Job summary

Green Recruitment Company represents a leading energy company seeking a Director, Origination & Structuring to lead commercial origination, structuring offtake, and partnerships for utility-scale battery energy storage assets. You will identify, develop, structure, negotiate, and advance opportunities with utilities, data center developers and owners, hyperscalers, and other strategic counterparties.

This role owns the front-end lifecycle from market mapping to negotiations and handoff,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in energy origination, power marketing, or related commercial functions.
• Proven track record of originating, structuring, negotiating, and advancing complex transactions.
• Direct experience with structured energy products such as PPA/VPPAs and tolling structures.
• Deep understanding of U.S. power markets, storage economics, and risk allocation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute origination strategy across U.S. power markets for BESS commercialization.
• Source, qualify, and advance opportunities with utilities, data centers, hyperscalers, and other counterparties.
• Originate and structure commercial arrangements (tolling, capacity contracts, PPAs, energy hedges).
• Lead relationship development, pricing discussions, and negotiations through execution.
• Maintain disciplined origination pipeline with milestones and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with Development, Finance, Legal, and Leadership on deal approvals and handoffs.
