Job summary

United Supermarkets, LLC is seeking an Organized Crime Retail Manager to lead investigations into organized retail theft and fraud, coordinating with law enforcement and internal departments.

You will analyze reports, testify in proceedings, and develop awareness materials with store management and teams across the division.

This role requires extensive investigative expertise, surveillance experience, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of law enforcement experience or 3-5 years in retail loss prevention/asset protection investigations.
• Experience in Organized Retail Crime preferred.
• 3-5 years conducting surveillance, counter-surveillance, and covert investigations.
• Thorough knowledge of Penal Codes, Evidence Codes, Civil Codes and procedures for the division's geography.
• Proven ability to conduct criminal investigations, interviews/interrogations, and report writing for law enforcement.
• Track record of handling volatile situations and interacting with diverse publics.
• Ability to testify in Municipal, Juvenile, Criminal Courts and Grand Juries.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Asset Protection Director in reducing losses attributable to Organized Retail Crime.
• Conduct ORC prevention and awareness training for internal and external customers.
• Follow-up on Shoplift Incident reports by recovering video evidence and contacting store personnel (~25 per week).
• Conduct criminal and civil investigations and prepare reports.
• Routinely testify in civil and criminal proceedings.
• Analyze business/investigator reports and redeploy contract security assets to maximize ROI.
• Build and maintain partnerships with law enforcement and public officials.
