Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Multi-Store Investigator to proactively identify theft patterns and support stores within a designated market, serving as a liaison between Senior ORC and Store Asset Protection Managers. The investigator develops strategies to mitigate losses and reduce organized retail crime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of investigative experience preferred.
• Ability to travel within division and work flexible hours.
• Must be able to lift and remain on duty as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into recurring thefts and organized retail crime.
• Manage a caseload across multiple Macy’s stores with follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with AP teams and field leadership to identify trends.
• Provide evidence collection, detailed reporting, and incident response for prosecutions.
• Train store teams on crime linking, investigative techniques, and surveillance methods.
• Build relationships with local and division law enforcement and retail partners.
• Present major findings to senior leadership and support restitution efforts.
• Coordinate with prosecutors and law enforcement for case progression.
• Maintain regular attendance and a professional, collaborative work environment.
