Job summary

The University of Texas at San Antonio seeks an Organizational Development Specialist to design and deliver faculty, staff, and student training programs aligned with strategic goals. You will partner with division leaders to assess learning needs, develop curricula, and measure training impact across campus and remote sites in Texas.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related experience, with travel to multiple campuses and a mix of on-site and remote

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience.
  • This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned training and development programs that enhance individual learning and meet departmental productivity improvement endeavors.
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content for faculty, staff, and student-employee training programs.
  • Work with subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments/instructional analysis to ensure alignment with customer objectives and develop training plans as needed.
  • Evaluate individual and organizational training and development needs.
  • Implement various learning methods for Faculty, Staff, and Student Employees (e.g. classroom and online training).
  • Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings.
  • Facilitate professional development training, exercises and activities that enhance learning, leadership development and team building.
  • Identify and recommend updates/upgrades to current training content, delivery methods and technology.
  • Develop methods of measuring training impact to performance management and organizational goals.
  • Review SME instructional materials to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Recommend practical courses to improve performance based on training strategies and validation.
  • Develop and apply a structured change management approach with division leaders.
  • Evaluate classes from vendors and build a learning taxonomy based on gaps in skills, knowledge and competencies.
  • Assist with talent management programs, including high potential development, succession planning, and performance processes.
  • Promote change management initiatives that impact the university.
