Job summary

Gift of Life Michigan is seeking a Manager, Organ Services, to lead the organ services staff and help shape department goals within a dynamic transplant program in Ann Arbor.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with substantial critical care or organ procurement experience and at least one year in a leadership position, with CPTC certification being an asset. A Master’s degree is preferred for advanced candidates. This is a day-shift, full-time role in health care operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of critical care or clinical organ procurement experience or a combination of education and more than 10 years of critical care/OPO experience.
  • At least one year of management or leadership experience (project, team, or workgroup).
  • Master’s degree in a related field with 8–10 years of critical care or clinical organ procurement experience is preferred.
  • Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) or certification within 12 months of hire is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies while developing evidence-based best practices.
  • Maintain expertise in donor evaluation, organ preservation, staffing, and organ allocation logistics.
  • Respond to donor referrals for evaluation of clinical staff performance.
  • Provide technical assistance with after-hours consultation as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data related to staffing, authorization rates, organs recovered per donor, and related metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
