Do you possess the attributes to be a successful Manager of Organ Utilization and perform the following essential functions?
The Manager of Organ Utilization leads the organ allocation and utilization process, ensuring effective placement of organs for transplantation and research, while managing transportation logistics. Reporting to the Director of Organ Operations and Surgical Recovery, this role emphasizes regulatory compliance, quality management, and personnel oversight. The manager collaborates closely with transplant partners, supervises the Organ Placement Specialists, and promotes professional development within the team. Additionally, this role requires expertise in Organ Procurement and Transplant Network (OPTN) policies, critical decision‑making, and fostering relationships that enhance organ donation outcomes. Key competencies include leadership, integrity, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to continuous improvement and safety.
