Job summary

LifeNet Health is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator in Richmond, VA, to lead all aspects of surgical organ recovery, kidney perfusion, and imported organ processes with strict regulatory compliance.

The role coordinates organ imports, operates perfusion equipment, maintains preservation records, and ensures timely, accurate donor documentation while advancing our mission to save lives and restore health.

Qualifications

• 3 years scrub/surgical tech experience (including Tissue Processing, Tissue Recovery, Operating Room, or Sterile Processing) or EMT/Paramedic experience.
• Valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform full scrubbing and circulating duties, and support postmortem care and quality improvement.
• Coordinate organ imports logistics, including air and ground transportation, and accompany surgeons when needed.
• Operate kidney perfusion machines and maintain preservation records and pump metrics.
• Deliver organs for transplantation and ensure precise, timely documentation of donor information.
• Manage organ allocation per LNH and OPTN/UNOS policies to maximize utilization.
