Zusammenfassung

New England Donor Services seeks an Organ Surgical Recovery Coordinator to assist surgeons in the OR and coordinate organ preservation and recovery activities. You will handle logistics for organ procurement, including team transport, and communicate with hospital staff to support timely transplant operations.

The role requires on-call shifts (8:00am-8:00am), night/weekend coverage, and travel within New England.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree or minimum of 2 years professional experience.
• Medical Terminology and clinical experience in a medical/healthcare field is required.
• Aseptic Technique is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite and Outlook, and ability to learn new internal NEDS systems required.
• Must be able to work long hours including overnights, holidays and weekends.
• Must live within a 60 minute commute to Waltham, MA.

Aufgaben

• Assist surgeons in the OR as they recover organs.
• Facilitate organ preservation including perfusion devices.
• Independently recover corneas and heart valves from deceased donors.
• Arrange logistics for organ recovery and coordinate team transportation.
• Communicate with NEDS and hospital staff to support timely transplants.
