New England Donor Services seeks an Organ Surgical Recovery Coordinator to assist surgeons in the OR, support organ preservation with advanced perfusion devices, and recover corneas and heart valves for transplant from deceased donors.

The role involves organizing logistics for organ recovery, coordinating team transport, and communicating with hospitals. A strong medical background and readiness for demanding hours are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or minimum of 2 years professional experience.
• Medical Terminology and clinical experience in a medical/healthcare field is required.
• Aseptic Technique is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite and Outlook, and ability to learn new internal NEDS systems required.
• Must be able to work long hours including overnights, holidays and weekends.
• Must live within a 60 minute commute to Waltham, MA.

Responsabilités

• Assist surgeons in the OR and support organ preservation using perfusion devices.
• Independently perform recovery of corneas and heart valves from deceased donors.
• Arrange logistics for organ recovery by coordinating team transportation and hospital staff communication.
• Contribute to life saving initiatives at end of day.
